Are you getting sick of the winter weather blanketing your area? Have you been thinking about planning a vacation getaway? Are you looking for a destination with plenty of options for enjoying sand between your toes and sun on your face?
If you like lying on the beach and playing in the waves, St. Martin is a great destination. The tropical Caribbean paradise has plenty of great beaches to choose from, and finding your own luxury St. Martin holiday villa rental is a great way to maintain the freedom to see them all!
When planning your visit to St. Martin, you shouldn’t neglect researching the many beaches on the island. If you’re looking to spend a lot of time on the beach in St. Martin, you should definitely be familiar with the island’s best beaches.
Dawn Beach
This beach on the east side of the island provides incredible views of neighboring St. Barts and is well known for a great selection of beach bars. It’s also an excellent windsurfing spot when the winds come up and it provides many enchanting snorkeling opportunities nearly any time of day.
Mullet Bay
This bay was once home to the prominent Mullet Bay Resort, which was the island’s first resort. Unfortunately, it was taken out of commission after the destruction of Hurricane Luis in 1995, but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying the bay’s pearlescent waters. A few shacks that serve food and drinks line the beach, and you’ll almost always find a small sprinkling of umbrellas and chairs.
Simpson Bay
When you first lay eyes on Simpson Bay, you might not think it an ideal location, especially considering its proximity to the airport, as well as the crowded activity surrounding the bars, casinos, and restaurants in the area. The beach, however, is quite quiet and peaceful, and you can enjoy long, curving stretches of sand complemented by the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean. If you’re looking for the best place to get to the beach, try accessing it via Mary’s Boon Beach Resort.
Orient Bay
If you like being active during the day enjoying watersports and also appreciate the sights and sounds of the beach bar scene, you need to check out Orient Bay. While the bay’s popular strand of beach is clothing optional, it’s one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the island.
Baie Longue
If you like your privacy on the beach, this secluded section might be just what you’re looking for. Perhaps the longest and most private stretch of sand on the island, Baie Longue is also a great beach to spot celebrities staying at the popular La Samanna.
Happy Bay
This remarkably deserted scimitar of sand on the northwest side of the island is only accessible by boat or via a short hike from Friars Bay. If you enjoy spotting marine life be sure to bring your snorkel and fins along to this amazing beach.
When visiting the beautiful tropical paradise of St. Martin, it’s important to get out and enjoy some of the island’s amazing beaches. These were just a few of the most beautiful beaches lining the coast of St. Martin.
