Newport is an awesome place to go and it offers a lot of great eats and things to do, not to mention a beautiful beach. But the brunch at The Beachcomber can’t be beat. The restaurant has some unique options on the menu, plus the setting is perfect. Some items on the menu include crab cake benedicts, beach beignets and ricotta blueberry pancakes.

The best place to have seafood has to be on the east coast. Maryland’s Cantler’s Riverside Inn is home to the best seafood on the coast. They happen to have great crabs, which is fitting since Maryland is the blue crab state. The restaurant is located right on Mill Creek and you can even arrive by boat. It is a gorgeous area with a very family friendly atmosphere. The blue crab is a favorite and served up with corn, bread and potatoes.

A great way to cool off in the summer heat is to have some ice cream, but not all ice cream is the same. If you want the best, then head to New York City’s Laduree SoHo. It is designed like an elegant pastry shop in Paris. There is an outdoor garden where guests can sit and enjoy their desserts. They have unique and delicious ice cream like salted butter ice cream and ginger ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce and toasted macadamia nuts. They are also famous for their macaron glaces available in flavors like raspberry, citron, pistachio or rose petal.

Baseball is a popular pastime in the summer, so you have to get the best food at the ballpark! Blue Smoke on the Road is at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. They serve up a North Carolina pulled pork sandwich that is a fan favorite. It is a meaty sandwich stuffed with apple wood smoked pork and topped with a soft brioche bun. Move over hot dogs, this is the perfect dish to eat at the ballpark.
