The Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza on the beautiful island of Ibiza in Spain is home to the world’s most expensive restaurant. Sublimotion by Paco Roncero is a theatrical dining experience that costs around $1,900 per person. But the price is well worth it.

The dining experience is over 15-courses and stars out with a drink at Estado Puro, which is another restaurant just around the corner. A fleet of Land Rovers takes diners from this restaurant to the main destination of Sublimotion.

Guests enter a small reception area that is decorated in an old-Hollywood type theme. Diners receive an admission ticket with a shot. The ticket is actually edible and tastes like sweet raspberry. Diners are then led into a room that is actually an elevator complete with music by The Ramones.

The elevator stops at a dining room covered in white with a table and 12 chairs. The room also has floor-to-ceiling screens that display images of sceneries around the world. Guests can find their seat by finding their names in neon lights about their reserved seats. This is where the second course comes in, a fruity pill that is similar to sorbet that melts in your mouth.

The rest of the courses are also served while being seated in the dining room. But in between courses, guests are able to travel around the world and even go skydiving with special Samsung Gear VR specs. Each virtual destination is paired perfectly with the courses that include caviar and champagne.

The entire place is quiet the experience. From start to finish, it takes about three hours to enjoy the 15-courses and trips around the world. It is pretty cool that you can experience all of this while sitting in one spot.
