Two Centre Holidays – an Experience to Behold!

The best of both worlds is like the Holy Grail in life. We all search for it, we often don’t find it, but the test is there. When it comes to holidays however, the best of both worlds is very achievable, and generally comes in the form of a two centre break.

I’ve done this several times, and it really does give you two completely different experiences, making your holiday seem much longer than it is in reality. The cost? It can be higher, but having said that there are deals out there, and there are certainly ways to save money, such as considering flying indirect.

Take getting to the airport for example. Public transport is costly and a little unreliable, and taxis? Expensive! I always cut costs here by booking public transport, regularly using Park BCP.

The last two centre break I booked was for two weeks in Orlando, followed by five days in Las Vegas. It was exhausting, but my oh my was it fun! Long-haul flying is tiring, let alone spending time in two action packed destinations, so I drove myself to the airport, so I didn’t have to get up quite so early, saved money, and cut out the stress, by grabbing a real deal on Manchester Airport parking. I then parked up, knowing my car was safe, and surrendered to the fun and frolics of my holiday.

There are many different forms a two centre break can take, including a beach and safari holiday in Kenya, which is hugely popular, usually involving a stay in Mombasa for the beach part, and then off on safari for a few days.

Cruise and stay holidays are another popular choice, usually around the Caribbean with a stay in Orlando, or Fort Lauderdale and Miami. You could combine this with an internal flight up to New York for a few days, and really experience several different environments all within the space of one holiday – definitely a once in a lifetime trip.

Many people flying long-haul over to Australia, New Zealand etc, stop off in Dubai or even Singapore and make that part of their holiday too. Experiencing as much as possible whilst you’re in one particular part of the world really is to be advised, because the world is huge, why wouldn’t you want to get out and explore it?

If you don’t want to fly by the seat of your pants, there are many companies out there who will tailor make you a two centre holiday, meaning you have peace of mind and a contact if a problem arises. The only thing to consider is holiday insurance, and to make sure that your chosen policy covers you for all the countries you’re intending to visit. A worldwide policy including the US will generally do this, but do read the small print as this varies from company to company.

You don’t have to limit yourself to one destination per holiday, explore the world!
