We all know that drinking on an empty stomach causes a lot of pain and in more ways than one. It is always smart to eat things packed with nutrition, but it is really important to make sure to eat these things before a night out of drinking. Eating the right foods will help you stay up longer, be able to drink more and help with not having a hangover the next day.

Eggs happen to be one of the best foods when it comes to curing a hangover, but you also want to eat eggs before you start drinking. Eggs are full of amino acids that actually help breakdown the alcohol.

Chicken
Foods that are high in protein taken longer to digest and that will help slow down your blood alcohol level. A chicken sandwich has the protein and carbs you need to right before drinking. Just don’t go overboard, make sure to stick to a small serving.

Almond butter
Almond butter is not only delicious, but a great snack. It is full of good fats and those fat will help slow down your absorption of alcohol. You don’t want to get drunk too fast!

Avocado
Avocado is just like almond butter and full of good fats. Good fats are digested so slowly, that they actually take longer to digest than carbs. Good fats are always a good idea to eat if you know you are going to be drinking a good amount of alcohol.

Low-fat yogurt
Surprisingly, low-fat yogurt is perfect to eat right before you hit the town for the night. Mix a little bit of granola into your yogurt and you will be able to get all of the macronutrients you need before filling up on some alcohol. It has fat, protein and carbs and it will help slowly digest your food.
