The resort town of Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta in is full of beautiful beaches and endless fun. It is a short 3-hour flight from LAX and is a great destination to travel to more than once. There is always something to do in Puerto Vallarta.
The downtown area of the city is historic and full of shopping and great eats. There a number of restaurants that serves up authentic Mexican food. There are vendors on every corner and a shopping market full of local goods. You can browse up and down the streets or enjoy the beautiful beaches nearby.
Speaking of beaches, they are everywhere in Puerto Vallarta. Some are more popular than others, but there is always a spot right on the ocean to relax and enjoy the incredible weather. A lot of the 5-star resorts have pools located right on the beaches. This is also a great place to go and enjoy the scenery.

There are a handful of tropical resorts that sit right on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. It can be quite overwhelming finding the right place to stay, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the resorts that come with amazing views of the ocean. It is always helpful to check online and read reviews. Most of the nice resorts offer pools overlooking the beaches and nice, large rooms with kitchens. This will make your vacation easier because you can go shopping at the local markets to make your own food.
The activities in Puerto Vallarta are endless. You can go swimming with dolphins or sea lions. Or you can go parasailing or surfing. There are also boat rides out to go snorkeling and scuba diving. There is a beautiful island not far from the city where you can ride horses up to waterfalls. The pirate boat ship is also another great activity that can only be found in Puerto Vallarta.
