For the past month and a half, the Pacific Blue Jeans team held a contest to get a designer to buy our fabric and won $260! We have so many wonderful entries that it’s hard to pick a winner! One of the favorite things about our company is that we get to work with so many independent designers. Clear vision and distinctive design are what we value, not to mention the love of denim! See who wins our race and keep your eyes peeled for more attention from us soon!
After going through each of our contest entries, the Pacific Blue Denims team chose Holly Rose as our winner of $250 in Pacific Blue Denim! Holly is a self-described “Fearless Fashion Designer” from Los Angeles, who aims to offer more choices of jeans for women. Holly is working on her jeans, named ‘The Angela.’ Her innovative design will put the zipper on one side of the jeans so the fabric folds evenly back and forth, making it easier to slip into your favorite pants!
Apart from offering sizes from 24-40, her jeans also feature three inseam options and will arrive in two different styles. Holly has a personal connection to denim and it is one of her driving forces. She writes on her website, “Levi’s came out in the 1800s using cotton my family cultivated and harvested themselves, with no pay. When I realized that my own grandfather and great-grandfather were enslaved in Texas picking cotton every day, I realized that this denim brand was about more than my body, but about my family history and reclaiming a piece of American history by allowing the people who created it, to have an ownership of it.”
Conduct fitness tests for all body types and determine her lines based on her current body type. Pay attention to research and development, always use and/or create the best technology to make the perfect jeans.
FRAME Spring Cheetah Cargo Skinny Jeans
Looks likethewildcat print is coming back for the SS20 season! Remember when leopard and cheetah prints were a big trend a few years ago, and jeans like the Current/Elliott Stiletto Leopard were a big hit? Well, FRAME has come out with a brand new pair of jeans and I think they are really cool!
They’re a medium weight stretch denim with an 8.75″ mid-height, 26″ leg opening and also a 9″ leg opening, making them a great cropped fit for warm weather. Since they’re a skinny cargo style custom made jeans , they have thigh side utility pockets, slanted front pockets and flap back pockets. There are also zippers at the inseams to give them a tighter fit and a more cargo style silhouette.
What are your thoughts on cheetah print jeans being back around on trend? I’m sure we’ll see it on celebrities and bloggers as the weather warms up. I think these particular pair of jeans from FRAME are the perfect way to get back on trend. These also remind me of the J Brand Houlihan pants that were popular around 2010. Do you remember those? They’re a great combination of both J Brand and Current/Elliott, so if you feel like reliving the past, these FRAME jeans are it!
