The doughnut shop in Denver uses local and organic ingredients. The menu is full with interesting flavors like blackberry pecan cobbler, root beer float, Nutter Butter fluff with chocolate-covered bananas and the mojito, which is made with rum, fresh mint and fresh lime. Glazed and Confused also makes a Samoa doughnut that is complete with caramel, coconut and chocolate. Or bacon lovers can try the maple bacon that has two strips of bacon right on top of the doughnut.
Blue Star Donuts in Portland, Oregon
Blue Star Donuts is so popular, they have four locations in Portland, with more expected to open soon. They use a brioche recipe that takes 18 hours to make and only with local and fresh ingredients. Doughnuts that can be found on the menu include pistachio cream cheese, blueberry bourbon basil and the Cointreau crème brulee that comes with a syringe filled with Cointreau.
Stan’s Donuts in Los Angeles, California
Stan’s Donuts has been around since 1965. It is located at Westwood Village in Los Angeles and the owner still comes in every morning to make doughnut. Stan whips up crazy flavors like peanut butter that is made with Reese’s peanut butter and the peanut butter and banana donut that is topped with delicious chocolate chips.
Dough in Brooklyn, New York
Dough in Brooklyn is a little doughnut shop on the corner of the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. They are known for their cake doughnut and are fried to perfection. The menu includes flavors like passion fruit, blood orange, hibiscus and the original chocolate glazed. Most of the doughnuts are huge, especially the lemon poppy that is out of this world.
