Summer is here which means it is the perfect time to grab that surf board and hang ten. There are plenty of beaches you can go to catch some waves, but there are a few that really stand out.

Costa Rica has gorgeous beaches and the town of Playa Grande has the best surfing spots. Surfers from around the world have traveled to these beaches just to surf there. While you aren’t surfing, the tropical country offers plenty of other fun activities. Ulu Watu in Bali is known for it’s intense waves. This is the spot of every surfer’s dreams. If you are looking to stay in the United States, look no further than Huntington Beach, California. This place is home to a large group of surfers for a reason. There are 4 different –facing beaches so there is something for every surfer. Long boarders are welcome too!

Another popular surfing destination in California is San Clemente. Not only is it home to many surfing publications, it is home to some huge waves. Surfers of all ages can grab that boards and ride the waves.

Surprisingly Bundoran, Ireland is also a top surf spot. It is know as “cold water Eden” to many surfers and is particularly busy from September to May. The surfers are welcomed with open arms as many of the local businesses offer discounts to them.
