Captains BBQ is located in Palm Coast, Florida and serves up barbeque favorites with traditional Southern style sides. The restaurant offers delicious meats with a casual waterfront view. The menu includes ribs, pulled pork, chicken and much more. The sides are slow-cooked in a wood-burning smoker and include collard greens, cucumber salad and cornbread. The barbeque is served on a paper plate with paper towels. It really gives you the traditional picnic experience. The restaurant is also accessible by boat.

Franklin Barbeque in Austin, Texas happens to be home of Aaron Franklin, who was just named Best Chef in the Southwest by the James Beard Foundation. You can expect a long wait when heading to this barbeque restaurant, but it is well worth it. Long lines start forming early in the day for items like brisket, pulled pork and other delicious smoked meats. The spot is open for lunch only and is pretty well known. Even though there is always a long line, it continues to grow in popularity. It usually is a couple hour wait to get sweet pulled pork or turkey as moist as prime rib. They also offer juicy sausage and the best brisket around.

If you are ever in St. Louis, Missouri, you have to stop by Pappy’s Smokehouse. It is a popular barbeque spot where you order at the counter to get some wood-smoked Memphis-style grub. Lots of famous people have been to this spot and signed menus by them line the walls. Pappy’s opened in 2008 and has been named the best of the best on many lists and have won many awards. They offer slow-cooked, unique barbeque that is delicious. One of the famous items is the Big Ben meal, which includes a full slab of ribs, 2 sandwiches, a quarter chicken and four side dishes.
