Welcome to my summer travel blog!
Hi, my names Andrew Offerman and this is my summer travel blog. I have spent a lot of time traveling the globe. It first started when I would go on business trips to China or the UK to meet with potential clients or chat with some of our foreign investors. When I visited these cities I would get an experience unlike that of your average tourist because I would know people in the area and they could show me the local fares and customs. As I got older I realized that the majority of my work can be done on the computer so I began to travel to different regions of the world, rent out a small apartment for a quarter of the year. I would spend the day time working from my apartment or at an internet café then at night I would experience the city I was in. In the past 5 years I have lived in 6 different cities and visited many others during my time off. I decided to make this blog to share my experiences and to help other realize that you don’t need to be held down by a city or the grind of the 9 to 5 jobs. I am just starting this blog now in anticipation of my newest adventure. I will be staying in Berlin for just over two months as a part of a networking project for my work. I leave in a week and I just wanted to get this site up before I head over there. I hope that this blog will give some people motivation to pursue their dreams of traveling without vacationing.
As you might imagine, when you travel the world, you have a lot of stories to share. I hope you refer back to my site from time to time to check in and see where the road takes me — and additionally share your own travel stories. Thank you for checking out Vagabond Summer, my first ever summer travel blog!
